The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a heat advisory for the central United States, as temperatures are expected to reach the 90s and 100s. Cities such as Dallas, Houston, and Memphis are expected to be particularly hard hit.

Residents are urged to take precautions to stay cool, such as drinking plenty of fluids, wearing loose-fitting clothing, and avoiding strenuous activity outdoors.

Tropical Storm Hone

Tropical Storm Hone is expected to pass south of Hawaii on Wednesday night, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

The storm is currently located about 575 miles south of Hilo, Hawaii, and is moving west at 14 mph. The NHC has issued a tropical storm warning for the Big Island of Hawaii.

Residents of the Big Island are urged to monitor the storm's progress and be prepared to take action if necessary.
