Dar Salim: A Journey from Baghdad to the Big Screen

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Dar Salim was born on August 18, 1977, in Baghdad, Iraq. His family fled to Denmark when he was a young child, where he grew up and later pursued acting. He made his acting debut in the Danish television series "Nikolaj og Julie" in 2002.

Breakthrough and International Recognition

Salim's breakthrough role came in 2008 when he played the role of Amir Diwan, the Green Party chairman, in the Danish film "Forestillinger." His performance garnered critical acclaim and earned him the Robert Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In recent years, Salim has gained international recognition for his role in the Guy Ritchie film "The Covenant" (2019) and the Danish TV series "The Chestnut Man" (2021).

Personal Life

Salim is married to Meta Louise Foldager, a Danish film producer. They have a son named Zidane Storm Salim.
